The motherboard connects the console to a TV, charges the console, and allows other accessories to connect to the console as well. To access the side of your dock you will need a tri-wing security screwdriver to remove the docks casing screws. You will also need a pair of tweezers however we also recommend a spudger to help release the ribbon cable and connector on the opposite side. A replacement board may be needed if there is a damaged USB port or HDMI issues.
