Step 1
Power down your Samsung Galaxy A8 smartphone.
Step 2 (Samsung Galaxy A8 SIM Card and microSD Card Tray)
Remove the Nano SIM card tray and microSD card tray.
Step 3 (Samsung Galaxy A8 LCD Screen and Digitizer Assembly)
Use the heat gun warm up the adhesive securing the Galaxy A8 LCD screen and digitizer assembly to the frame.
With the precision knife, carefully create separation and insert a playing card to start slicing through the adhesive.
Take your time and apply additional heat as needed.
When attacking the adhesive, be mindful of the soft button cables when decoupling the Samsung Galaxy A8 display assembly from the frame.
The Galaxy A8 screen is still connected to the logic board. With the tweezers, remove the metal bracket and disconnect the display assembly cable.
Step 4 (Samsung Galaxy A8 Frame)
Remove the following 15 Phillips screws.
Use the iSesamo tool to pop the frame out of the Galaxy A8 rear case.
Step 5 (Samsung Galaxy A8 Battery)
Detach the A8 battery from the motherboard.
The Samsung battery is strongly adhered in place. Use the nylon spudger to work around the battery and set it free from the adhesive securing it to the frame.
Remove the 3050 milliampere-hour (mAh) Galaxy A8 battery from the phone.
Step 6 (Samsung Galaxy A8 Motherboard)
Disconnect the bevy of cables from the Galaxy A8 motherboard.
Remove the following 2 Phillips screws.
Use the spudger to detach the daughterboard connector from the underside of the motherboard, and remove the Galaxy A8 motherboard from the frame.
Step 7 (Samsung Galaxy A8 Front and Rear Camera)
Detach and remove the Galaxy A8 5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera.
With the spudger, detach the 16-megapixel A8 rear-facing camera and remove it from the motherboard.
Step 8 (Samsung Galaxy A8 Earpiece Speaker and Loudspeaker)
Use the tweezers to peel up and remove the Galaxy A8 earpiece speaker assembly. It includes the ear speaker, proximity sensor, ambient light, and noise-cancelling microphone.
Pry up and remove the loudspeaker from the frame.
Step 9
Carefully pry up and remove the Galaxy A8 micro-USB port and headphone jack assembly.
Free the Samsung Galaxy A8 home button from the chassis, and then peel up its flex cable to remove it from the frame.
Step 10 (Samsung Galaxy A8 Vibrator, Power Button Cable and Volume Buttons Cable)
With the tweezers, carefully remove the Galaxy A8 spring-contact applied vibrator.
Peel up and remove the power button cable and physical power button.
Remove the volume buttons cable and physical volume buttons.
