Step 1
Power down your LG V10 phone.
Step 2
Use the plastic triangle opening tool, or your fingernails, to work around the rear cover and release the plastic clips securing it in place.
Step 3
Remove the 3.85 Volt, 3000 mAh LG V10 battery.
Step 4
Remove the following 14 Phillips screws securing the midframe in place.
Use the triangle opening tool to assist in removing the midframe from the LG V10 smartphone.
Step 5
With the nylon spudger, disconnect the front-facing camera from the motherboard.
Remove the 5 MP LG V10 dual front-facing selfie camera.
Step 6
Disconnect the headphone jack from the motherboard and remove it from the chassis.
Step 7
Use the nylon spudger to detach the display assembly cable keeping the motherboard in place.
With the cable detached, carefully pry up and remove the LG V10 motherboard.
Step 8
With the fine tip curved tweezers, and a little help from the spudger, peel up the LG V10 cables stuck to the frame.
Remove the following 6 Phillips screws.
Use the triangle opening tool to carefully pry up and remove the top and bottom plastic panels.
Remove the two silicone bumpers.
Step 9
Use the heat gun to warm up the adhesive securing the LG V10 LCD screen and digitizer assembly to the frame.
With the precision knife create separation and insert a triangle opening tool to start slicing through the adhesive.
Take your time and apply additional heat as needed.
Once you have sliced through the adhesive, be mindful of the cables when separating the LG V10 display assembly from the frame.
